New England Wire Technologies is closely monitoring the global outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our priority is the health, safety and well-being of our staff, customers, and suppliers, while continuing to provide uninterrupted delivery of products and services. New England Wire Technologies is being proactive in our approach to this issue, paying particular attention to information and recommendations from the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and implementing guidance as it is updated. We are also following the direction of appropriate governmental agencies regarding any quarantines, closures, or other health measures as appropriate. Our management team meets regularly to track the situation, and modify and communicate any changes to our current plan as the need arises.
New England Wire Technologies has remained fully operational throughout the COVID-19 crisis due to our essential business status. During this time and going forward, we will continue to operate and manufacture the goods you rely on.
Rest assured, we have adequate mitigation plans in place for all current, and any possible future impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. These plans include extensive cross-training of employees, schedule and shift changes as appropriate, and approved overtime, as required, to address any potential impacts to our workforce. We have established calculated safety stock levels and manage our component inventory levels carefully to ensure there will be no disruption to our material supply chain. Utilizing multiple and various methods of transportation, we are confident in our ability to both procure material components and deliver customer orders without interruption. The maintenance of delivery schedules and customer order commitments remains our number one priority. As always, we are doing so with the safety of all employees at the forefront of our operations.
All business travel for our employees remains on hold. We are also restricting visitors to our facility at this time. New England Wire Technologies personnel will be in contact with your personnel to discuss mutually acceptable and feasible alternative communication methods, which includes collaborative meeting and video conferencing options.
We have instituted daily temperature and wellness screenings, and require the use of company provided personal protective equipment for those employees who work in our offices, factory, and warehouse. We also continue to implement occupancy and social distancing guidelines throughout our facilities as recommended by the CDC. Additionally, we have tested our secure remote access systems and technology infrastructure to adjust working arrangements for our employees as needed. We have the internal systems and processes in place to confirm that remote communication methods and systems are available to our employees. While most of our employees are currently working on-site, we continue to implement work-from-home options for designated office staff when required. We are prepared to continue to provide our customers with seamless service during this extraordinary time. Should you need to contact your Account Manager, please feel free to phone or email them directly, or alternatively email info@newenglandwire.com, complete the Contact Us form on our website, or dial our main company phone number (603-838-6624) and asked to be connected. Rest assured, all inquiries and voicemails will be responded to in a timely manner. We are here for you.
We have also implemented additional steps to ensure we maintain a higher level of cleanliness in our facility. We are regularly performing deep cleaning and disinfecting of all common areas, and have provided materials to our employees to keep their personal areas clean and disinfected.
As we continue to monitor the situation, additional changes in our operations may be necessary in order to comply with government guidelines. Please keep us informed of potential actions your organization is taking, or may be considering, in response to this situation that could impact our mutual relationship, such as increased or decreased purchases in the near future and/or any other actions that we can evaluate together.
We will continue to assess the current situation and provide updates as appropriate. If you have any questions please contact us at (603) 838-6624 or email us at info@newenglandwire.com.
Be well.
