Magnetics
New England Wire Technologies’ expertise in using products supplied by magnet wire manufacturers and in copper magnet wire, enameled magnet wire, litz magnet wire and other applications of custom magnet wire and cable is unmatched. We excel in producing custom magnetic winding applications such as high frequency inductors; induction heating; transformers, alternate energy motors and VLF communications equipment. As leading magnet wire manufacturers, we are able to secure special approvals from UL & VDE that can be used in conjunction with our electrical insulation system.
Our magnetics products represent superior performance over traditional magnet wire.

Superconductor Cables
New England Wire Technologies has provided custom cables and related services to the superconducting industry since the 1960’s. NEEWC’s customers have included many of the U.S. National Laboratories, European Magnet Manufacturers, and US Commercial Magnet Manufacturers. We have custom wire and cable products in most of the major accelerator projects, ore separator magnets, NMR magnets, and superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) magnets. We have experience with both low temperature and high temperature electronic wire conductors. NEEWC is a worldwide leader in Rutherford cabling of superconducting wire. Our manufacturing capabilities include the ability to apply polyamide tape, fiberglass tape, fiberglass textile braids, extruded ETFE insulations, and engineered materials to all conductor and multiconductor cable configurations. We also offer PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy resin) as an alternative to PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) as a standard fluoropolymer coating. PFA nonstick coatings melt and flow during baking to provide nonporous films. PFA offers the additional benefits of higher continuous use temperature (260°C/500°F), film thicknesses up to 1,000 micrometers (40 mils), and greater toughness than PTFE or FEP. This combination of properties makes PFA an excellent choice for a wide variety of uses, especially those involving chemical resistance.
